Following the mission to develop future proof solutions,in 2018 Newen joinsas full member the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). 

ETSI is a world-leading standard developing organization for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). It is an Independentand not for profit association.

ETSI standards are used all over the world and have enabled technologies which have changed the way people live, workand do business. Today ETSI produces about 2500 standards every year and its work touch almost every area ofmodern living.

ETSI has become highly-respected producer of technical standards for worldwide use.

Over 800 organizations, big & small, from 68 countries on 5 continents (manufacturers, network operators, service and content providers, national administrations, ministries, universities, research bodies, consultancies, user organizations) participate to the work subdivided in ten clusters. 

The ETSI Technical Organization comprises three types of Technical Body:

• Technical Committee
• ETSI Project
• ETSI Partnership Project

Newen mainly focuses own activity in ETSI Technical Committee and mainly in the group defining standards and architecture to power the future 5G network.
